Lots of people to thank!
We would like to thank everyone who contributed to the success of the 18th Annual BC Aquaculture Slo-Pitch Tournament on July 5 and July 6, 2014!
Our Teams
We had 14 teams come together for a weekend of fun. Thanks to the teams from All Pen Diving, Badinotti Net Services, Grieg Seafood, Cermaq Canada, Keltic Seafoods, Marine Harvest Canada, Walcan Seafood, Watertek Contracting and the three community teams, Intersport Dodgers, Trouble and the Shoooters for joining us and playing in the tournament.
Thanks to PAA volunteers, Tanya Munro, Steve Munro and Richard Castro for taking care of the fields, umpires and all the team scheduling for the Saturday’s Round Robin and Sunday’s Knockout.
Congratulations to the First and Second Place teams and the MVP’s of the tournament.

Our Trophies and Player T-shirts
We would also like to thank our Trophy and T-Shirt Sponsors, AKVA group, Allpen Diving, Aquaculture North America, Aquatrans Distributors, Badinotti Net Services, BC Salmon Farmers Association, Browns Bay Packing, Morenot-Campbell River Netloft, CPx Coastal Pacific Xpress, Gemini Marine Services, ISO Metrix, Noboco-Aquapak, PRAqua, Redden Net, Sea Roamer Marine Services, Skretting, and Walcan Seafood.
A shout out to Terry, Marita and Joan at Discovery Specialty for all their help with our T-shirt order, Trophies and Team prizes.
Our Salmon BBQ
Salmon for our Saturday BBQ was generously donated by Cermaq Canada and barbequed by Cermaq Canada BBQ expert Rob Spiers on the donated Fountain Tire Community BBQ.
Burgers and salad were served by volunteers, Shannan Brown from Cermaq Canada and Cory Percevault and Leanne Brunt from Positive Aquaculture Awareness. Funds raised from the BBQ went to support the Campbell River Search and Rescue Team.
Our Beer Garden
The tournament Beer Garden was run by a great group of volunteers from Campbell River Search and Rescue and they did a fantastic job of helping to keep everyone refreshed with cold drinks.
The Beer was kept cold by totes of ice donated by Walcan Seafood and the Beer Garden kept secure by fencing donated by United Rental. The ice and the fencing was transported to Willow Point Park by Steven Munro in a perfect sized transport truck donated by Aztec Freight.
We would also like to thank Campbell River Safety Net for donating the services of Licensed Security Guard, Curtis, for the Beer Garden
Food Service
We appreciated having the Baba Gannouj Food Truck at the tournament for the two days. The provided a fantastic selection of food along with exceptional friendly service. Their restaurant is located in the Merecroft Village if you are craving more of their food.
Thanks Again!
Thanks again, we had a fantastic time at the 18th Annual BC Aquaculture Slo-Pitch Tournament. We are looking forward to seeing everyone again next year.
