IHN facts: Killing the virus

IHN is no risk to human health, and a low risk to wild salmon, which naturally carry the virus.
It is deadly, however, to farmed Atlantic salmon, which have not had hundreds or thousands of years like their Pacific cousins to evolve a natural resistance to the virus.
How do we kill this virus? How do we make sure it is no risk to other fish?
