Kokanee in Kootenay Lake have been infected by a killer.
The I-H-N virus was found during a check of Kokanee in the Meadow Creek and Redfish spawning channels of along Kootenay Lake.
It's commonly found in sockeye salmon.
Dr. Gary Marty is a fish pathologist with BC's Ministry of Agriculture.
