The fish farms are at it again!

A reported record 12 million sockeye are returning to the Fraser River.

The Alberni channel is so full with sockeye that the lakes and rivers they spawn in are full.

There is also a reported “better than ever” chinook fishery in the Georgia Strait, reminiscing of the old days, with record-sized fish being caught in great numbers. A better-than-average return of pink salmon is also expected.

It must be the fish farmers, responsible for this tragedy, once again!

I am waiting to hear from the experts on this problem and for a possible solution. Maybe, even, a march all the way to Ottawa.

Al Pelletier,
