Good people, good work, good jobs
 BCSFA, Fri, 04/05/2013

Raising healthy farm-raised salmon from egg to plate is a lot of work –work that’s rarely seen by the public but is a source of pride for the people doing it.

That’s why the BC Salmon Farmers Association is excited to launch a series of five short videos highlighting different jobs in our sector – featuring just a few of the dedicated, hard-working people we are proud to represent. The videos also highlight the range of opportunities available in aquaculture.

Today marks the release of the first video:  Off to Work … The Hatchery, with Mike Anderson from Grieg Seafood. Videos will be released Tuesdays and Fridays until April 19.

The videos will be posted to the BC Salmon Farmers’ Association YouTube page (www.youtube.com/bcsalmonfarmers) and Video Gallery (www.salmonfarmers.org/video-gallery)

The BCSFA represents salmon farm companies and those who supply services and supplies to the industry. Salmon-farming provides for 6,000 direct and indirect jobs while contributing $800-million to the provincial economy each year.
